Did you spend time in Quarriers Homes as a child?

If so, you can apply to take part in Time to be Heard

Time to be Heard will give up to 100 survivors and other former residents in Quarriers the chance to describe what it was like to be in care as children and the impact of that experience on their lives. Time to be Heard is confidential and the identity of those who take part will not be made public.

Learning & Development

Sacro is an interesting and diverse organisation; the Annual Learning Programme (ALP) aims to reflect this while taking into account learning and development requirements to meet individual, service, area, functional, organisational, and external and compliance demands.

In keeping with the ethos of the organisation, Sacro strives to offer an increased number of different methods of learning and development aligned with learning needs and individual learning styles, so that no person undertaking a learning opportunity is unduly disadvantaged.

The Annual Learning Programme is constructed in consultation with the Learning and Development Advisory Group, Senior and Corporate, Functional and Operational Management teams. These teams identify national and area priorities for learning and development, as well as taking an active role in planning, designing and delivering activities. Individual needs are collated through the analysis of Personal Development Action Plans (PDAPs),

To enable services to plan their learning and development strategy, the ALP is planned annually to coincide with the financial year, the ALP begins in April and runs until March.

Further internal and external opportunities are advertised in the Learning and Development Bulletins.

External agencies should contact a member of the team if they wish to be included in the mailing list: info@staffdev.sacro.org.uk

Costs

For external participants to attend an event planned in the Annual Learning Programme is £100 per participant per day. For external voluntary sector employees this is £70. Events arranged for external organisations will be discussed on an individual basis.
