Midpoint aims to promote social inclusion and independent living. We support those with substance misuse issues in obtaining and sustaining tenancies in Edinburgh.
Midpoint offers assistance to those with a history of drug use and homelessness or risk of homelessness. It does this by offering information, advice and support on all aspects of housing and accommodation. In addition, Midpoint aims to promote recovery through working with drug related issues and interventions.
Service users are allocated a Project Worker and a Support Worker who will offer practical and emotional support through
- one-to-one counselling
- motivational interviewing
- coping strategies
- relapse prevention
- harm reduction.
The service is aimed at anyone:
- aged 16 or over
- with a history of homelessness and drug use
- at risk of homelessness
- living in CEC, housing association or privately let accommodation
- living in temporary accommodation, B&B, hostels or of no fixed abode.
Midpoint offers a visiting support service at your present accommodation.
Referrals can be made through an agency or individuals may contact Midpoint directly on 0131 226 0830. Staff at the Community Links Centre will be able to help you with an enquiry.
