The Pilot 9 Recovery Programme is a psychosocial groupwork programme that aims to move people from a life of addiction to a life of recovery.
The project works in partnership with referring professionals. It will only engage with individuals who have shown readiness, motivation and willingness to change.
The aim of the project is to provide a structured groupwork package while actively engaging with the service user and their referrer to take individuals into recovery.
The programme takes place over two phases. An individual must complete phase one before entering into phase two.
Phase one of the Pilot 9 programme consists of two afternoon groupwork sessions a week. Those on the programme are also required to attend at least two, one-to-one sessions a week. Phase one will have a strong focus on personal drug use and commitment to change. Individuals will work through researched workbooks during one-to-one sessions. Phase one lasts for a period of four weeks with successful individuals graduating to phase two. If unsuccessful, individuals can be re-referred to begin the phase one process again.
Phase two also consists of groupwork and one-to-one sessions. The groupwork component of phase two will be working on a research package, Living in Balance. The package aims to move people from addiction and into recovery. Phase two groupwork sessions will take place in the mornings. Graduation from phase two will take place after all 12 modules from the Living in Balance package and all one-to-one appointments are successfully completed.
The service is aimed at anyone willing to commit to moving from a life of addiction into a life of recovery.
Participants must be referred to the Pilot 9 Recovery Programme by a professional agency.
