Volunteer Opportunities

Sacro’s work could not be successfully delivered without the dedication and skill of its volunteers. This important and fulfilling work is the cornerstone of many of Sacro’s services. If you have time to spare and are interested in doing something rewarding for your community, please contact us to find out more about volunteering with Sacro.

All volunteers receive full training, expenses and a car mileage allowance.

Restorative Justice Services

Restorative Justice focuses on what needs to happen to address the harm caused by crime. It does this by enabling communication about the crime to take place safely between the people responsible for an offence and those harmed.

Restorative Justice Service workers are individuals who will listen to both sides. They do not solve the problem personally but bring the two sides together to work out their own practical solutions for the future.

You need to be a good communicator – both written and oral; a good listener, able to remain impartial, be confident, flexible and reside in the area. It is important that you are able to respect issues of confidentiality.

The time commitment will vary depending on caseloads but you will not be expected to volunteer for more than four hours per week. Full training will be given. Full expenses and car mileage will be paid.
