Mediators act with the invitation of those involved in a conflict to help them build agreement and/or improve understanding. Our skilled Community Mediators work with neighbours and neighbourhoods to deal with local disputes and help make communities safer. Some of our services also have services for young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and services to reduce intergenerational conflict. To find out more on how mediation works, have a look at our video.
Sacro Community Mediation services work with neighbours and neighbourhoods to deal with local disputes and help make communities safer.
This service helps staff and pupils to be more aware of their own responses to conflict. Workshops suggest strategies to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for dealing with conflict situations which may arise in their professional and personal lives.
Fife Community Safety Support Service (FCSSS) is a voluntary service delivered by Sacro and funded by Fife Council.
This mediation service aims to resolve conflict and disputes between young people, families and landlords. The service exists to reduce and alleviate homelessness and sustain tenancies. Glasgow Homelessness Mediation Service is available on a spot-purchase basis.
