Care Support Workers/Support Workers (Multiple Roles) - Aberdeen & Aberdeenshire
Sacro’s mission is to create safe and cohesive communities by reducing conflict and offending
Do you care passionately about helping people to live independent and fulfilling lives?
Do you want to make a real difference in helping vulnerable people realise their potential?
Are you creative? Can you think outside the box and find new ways of helping people reach positive destinations?
Do you want to be given the opportunity to receive excellent training and develop new skills?
If so, Sacro have opportunities across a number of services for both contracted and sessional staff in the Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire areas and would love to hear from you.
We provide support services to people in our communities with a variety of support needs. These include those with learning disabilities, forensic backgrounds or those who have been involved in the criminal justice system. We also provide conflict resolution, mediation and school-based services and have programmes designed to help victims of same-sex domestic abuse.
We work in partnership with supported people and their families, as well as external partners, to maximise outcomes for those using our services.
“I was in care most of my life til I moved to Sacro. Nowhere has anyone ever treated me with so much respect and dignity as Sacro staff do.”
A staff member in Aberdeen said, “I love it here. No two days are the same. Sometimes it can be really challenging, others great fun. But every day I know what we’re doing here matters and is making a real difference to the people we are working with.”
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is an understanding of the nature of and purpose of the post. The successful applicants will be flexible and imaginative in their approach and sensitive and confident in their ability to help supported people. The ability to use their initiative and organise the workload whilst working in a non-discriminatory framework is essential.
