Criminal Justice Support Worker – STOP Service - Motherwell – Internal Only

The STOP service is the only service of its kind in Scotland delivering behavioural and attitudinal change programmes to individuals charged/convicted of Sectarian or other Hate crime offences.
We currently operate in Lanarkshire, Glasgow and East Dunbartonshire. We are working to improve this service by attempting to offer this programme on a National basis- as an option for diversions to Procurator Fiscal's across Scotland. To do this we aim to utilise current technology packages in order to deliver the programme virtually across video conferencing or other platforms and are looking to recruit a support worker to work alongside the team to develop the concept, mechanisms and policies around this development.

The successful candidate should have experience of working in a community setting. The successful candidate should also have some experience in working within a developmental role. The candidate should have a strong grasp of technology and how this can be used to engage service users.

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and creative individual with excellent written and verbal communication and organisational skills. This is a busy, challenging role which involves close team work but gives a high level of job satisfaction.

You will be required to work flexible hours. Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) is a requirement for this post.

31 days annual leave, pro-rata plus 6 fixed public holidays, pro-rata

Supervisory Responsibility‎
The post holder will have supervisory responsibility for volunteers / student placements, but should also be able to assist in the coordination of the service locally / nationally in support of the relevant management.
