Domestic Abuse Co-ordinator
We are looking for candidates who have experience of working within the field of domestic abuse. You must also have experience of working with vulnerable people from diverse backgrounds as well as an excellent understanding of the effects and issues facing those who have experienced domestic abuse. You will need to be an effective communicator, highly organised and have effective casework management skills.
The role of Domestic Abuse Co-ordinator is to support and deliver a number of programme sessions to groups of up to 10 men, supervision of staff and carry a caseload. The Domestic Abuse Programme is aimed at challenging behaviour and patterns of thinking that underpins domestic abuse. The programme is aimed at male perpetrators aged 18+ and workers will also undertake some work on a 1:1 basis.
The role requires you to work with Sacro colleagues and other agencies to ensure effective delivery of the programme. The Co-ordinator role will require evaluation of on-going risk factors for individual service users as well as contributing to the overall effectiveness of the programme delivery. This includes maintaining records on individual’s performance and report writing. The post will alongside the Service Manager in compiling reports, contract monitoring information and ensuring compliance with KPIs.
You will work closely with other partners and agencies and be expected to ensure the continued development of good partnership working.
A full, clean driver’s licence and access to a car is desirable.
Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme is a requirement this post.
