Based in our Motherwell office, covering the Lanarkshire area, the post holder will provide intensive support to women in the criminal justice system who choose to engage and work with Shine Women’s Mentoring Service. Support needs vary enormously but examples include: drug and alcohol misuse, abusive relationships, physical and mental issues and chaotic lifestyles as a result of past traumatic experiences. Experience of working with individuals in the criminal justice system is desirable.

You should be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is required along with experience of inter - agency working. A commitment to Sacro’s value base is essential, as work with Shine can present challenges for mentors.

A relevant qualification is desirable but is not essential.
