One to One Behaviour Change Programmes
These short term behaviour programmes are designed to promote discussion and reflection on areas of a young person’s life and their behaviour.
How does this service work?
Young people are able to attend 2 or 3 one to one sessions. During these sessions the young person is encouraged to discuss and reflect on areas of their life and how small changes in their behaviour can reduce the likelihood of reoffending and improve their quality of life.
Session plans include topics such as;
- Managing anger and aggression
- Alcohol and drug abuse
- Managing peer pressure
- Relationship skills
- Emotional intelligence and management
- Problem solving skills, socio-moral reasoning and decision –making
- Future choices – planning for education, training and employment
The length of each session will vary on individual; however they usually last around an hour of direct contact work.
Who is the service aimed at?
This service is only available for young people in the Kirkcaldy area. Contact the office for more details.
