Sacro in Aberdeen have been working with Community Food Initiatives North East to help provide food for Sacro service users in crisis. The scheme provides Sacro with essentials as part of their FareShare scheme; food we can then distribute to our service users. Additionally, we can refer service users on to receive produce from their food bank as well as for emergency food parcels.

Commenting on the initiative, Sacro’s Service Manager in Aberdeen, Tracy Mackie said: “This is a very welcome initiative and we are delighted to be working alongside Community Food Initiatives North East. This scheme will help ease the burden on so many of our service users and ensure they don’t go hungry. Many of the people Sacro works with are vulnerable and require a great deal of support. The last thing they need to worry about is not knowing where the next meal might come from.”
