In December 2012, the Scottish Government launched a consultation on proposals to redesign the community justice system in Scotland. The consultation document set out three options:

  • Option A: Enhanced Community Justice Authority (CJA) model
  • Option B: Local authority model
  • Option C: Single service model

The Criminal Justice Voluntary Sector Forum (CJVSF) played an active part in gathering the views of third sector providers in relation to the options set out in the consultation document and in presenting these views to the Scottish Government.

Just before Christmas, the Scottish Government published its response to the key points made by respondents to the consultation. CJVSF have prepared a short briefing about the report and the Scottish Government’s proposed new model for Community Justice. You can download the briefing >>here.
