Sacro’s community safety services provide support to address and raise awareness of the consequences of abusive behaviour, hate crime, and intolerance. In addition to mediation, some of our community safety services offer practical and emotional support for people experiencing hate incidents and anti-social behaviour (including support to young people), restorative work and witness support for those involved in civil proceedings.

In Elgin, Sacro provides a dedicated housing support unit for individuals from age 16 who are homeless and an outreach service for care-experienced young people. The residential unit provides accommodation in a flat-sharing environment with access to staff 24/7 and 365 days of the year. The outreach service provides evening and weekend housing and emotional support to the young people in their first tenancy. Those using the service will be allocated a key worker who will work in a person-centred way to support them through the challenges that they may face as well as encouraging positive change and decision making. The service aims to offer increased opportunities, reduce isolation, support emotional welfare, and gives people a safe and stable space when they need it most.
