We would like to take this opportunity to update you on the temporary measures we have put in place to allow us to continue to deliver the service during restrictions placed on us by the Coronavirus pandemic.

YourHome staff have been continuing to work hard to ensure that our focus and priority is supporting individuals who are at risk of losing their home or who are currently experiencing homelessness in Edinburgh. In line with government advice, the YourHome office has been temporarily closed and staff are working from their own homes.

Although this prevents face-to-face contact in all but the most essential of circumstances, staff do have the ability to work remotely and maintain contact with those people requiring support through a variety of alternative means. They are therefore continuing to provide support tailored to the needs of the people they are supporting.

We absolutely understand that people need our support more than ever at this time, and would therefore be happy to accept new referrals either via e-mail at yourhome@ypeople.org.uk or by phone 0131 603 9815 (we have redirected this number so that a member of YourHome staff will be able to receive the call remotely) . We will work with you to ensure consent is obtained and recorded in the most appropriate manner given the unique circumstances we all face at this time.

You can access our referral form and an information leaflet about the service, but if you have any questions about the YourHome service please do not hesitate to contact us either by phone on 0131 603 9815 or by e-mail at yourhome@ypeople.org.uk
